Haw Ridge Park development
As of November, 1998, there doesn't appear to be much threat
to Haw Ridge Park for the time being -- no support from the
city population and no money ....
On June 1, 1998 the Oak Ridge City Council gave approval for the City
to distribute requests for proposals in developing Haw Ridge Park
as a "destination attraction."
The City hopes to have a conceptual design for public review by
October.
Here is the City's
RFP for developing Haw Ridge Park.
Project schedule (1998):
July 22 City Council selects Lose & Associates (+ Lockwood Greene)
August 3 contract agreement

Read about August 14-15 planning meeting.
The contractor plans to have an office in the Oak Ridge mall so
that citizens can provide their input.
