Haw Ridge NORBA race 2001/2002

race course route 8.8 miles, cumulative climb: 710' (revised 6/13/01)

• Race starts/ends at the LDC barricade on Old Edgemoor Road (0.0)
• proceed west along Old Edgemoor Rd and turn left (0.5) and take the Soccer trail to Lake Rd (1.3)
• turn left on Lake Road and then right on Twister (2.4)
• then left (2.5) on old road bed
• then left on Lake Road (2.58)
• then right on Doug's Trail (2.61)
• then right at intersection (2.73) and climb the hill
• then right on Fox Trail (3.1) and up root climb and left (3.23)
• then right on Middle Road to power line (3.4)
• then right on single-track (3.8) cross-over to Lake Rd (REVISED)
• then right on Lake Road to Post 6 (4.0), left into Red Hill, bear right, then left (4.04)
• right on new trail at 4.1 to Briar Loop (4.2) go right around the loop
• right on Easy Trail (4.6)
• take the right off of Easy Trail on to South Shore (5.1, Post 5)) all the way around to the Pond Trail (5.9)
• follow the Pond trail to the Silo trail (6.5)
• take a right down the Silo trail then steep left up the berm to the Silo and up Rainbow (Devil's Staircase)
• at 6.9 right down to base of Screamer and out to East Shore (7.0) bearing left
• (REVISED) go right at 7.5 down the single-track to East Shore (Post 2) and go right on East Shore
• follow East Shore, where you take a right on the East Ridge (7.9) trail and climb over the ridge and take the right (8.3) and descend to the eastern end of Old Edgemoor Rd (8.6) and then go left along the pavement back to the start/finish barrier (8.8)
