Haw Ridge 12 hr Race 2002

race course route 9.2 miles, cumulative climb: 810' (Subject to change. Last revised 9/17/02)

• Race starts/ends at the LDC barricade on Old Edgemoor Road (0.0)
• proceed west along Old Edgemoor Rd and turn left (0.5) and take the Soccer Trail to Lake Rd (1.3)
• turn right (1.7) on to West Point and go out to the power cut and under the power line (1.9) to the left and down to the right that takes you to West Shore
• go left (W) on West Shore to its eastern-most junction with Lake Rd (2.6)
• go right (E) on Lake Rd. and follow Lake Road up Red Hill and take a right on the top (3.7) down the Red Hill trail, take the first right(3.9), then 2nd right(4.1), then left on the connector (4.2) to Easy Trail (4.3)
• take the right off of Easy Trail on to the South Shore (4.7) trail (post 5) all the way around to the junction with Pond Trail (5.55), but go left to Jump Loop.
• continue right (5.6) on Jump Loop and then right (N) on the Power Line to Post 4 (5.9).
• take a right down the Silo trail out to its end and junction with East Shore
• climb along East Shore (6.3) where the trail clings above the lake (Side Hill/Rachel's Landing) and follow East Shore all the way out to the power line (7.0)
• go right and climb the power line road (Hill of Truth) to the top and continue left down the north side to Post 1 (7.7).
• Go right (E) at Post 1 then right (7.9) on Mer (Skinny D) and descend to East Ridge trail (8.2)
• Go left on East Ridge trail and climb East Ridge and go right (8.7) down Kaboom to the eastern end of Old Edgemoor Rd (9.0) and then go left along the pavement back to the start (9.2)
