Friends of Haw Ridge Meeting at the LDC 7:30 pm

The 4 pizzas were barely enough for the attendees: Joanne Grimes, Randall
Hampson, Jimi Flynt, Monte Jones, Tom Dunigan, John Baker, Wally Judy, Matt
Stegall, Mark Patterson, Brian Nicholson, Cheryl Travis, Kevin Trent, Ed Shultz

Ed Shultz was voted in as the new president by acclimation.
The existing Vice President (Randall Hampson), Secretary (Jimi Flynt) and
Treasurer (Joanne Grimes) were voted in to remain in office.

Items Discussed:

Membership Drive?
Meetings should be on an "as needed" basis.  Bylaws suggest quarterly.
Next meeting will be March of 2005.
Approved $50 towards Joanne's trip to Trail Builders conference in Reno, Nevada.
Total trip cost estimate is around $1,200.
A comment was made that the trails pretty much maintain themselves.
The corduroy effect near the Log Jam was discussed.
Red Hill waterbars need to be cleaned out.  Work on Red Hill will need three or
four 4 10-12" diameter logs.  Prefer cedar which does not rot as quickly.
These to be brought in by boat and/or Jeep.
Monte suggested his "fantasy trail" which would connect the top of Low Gap to
K2.  It should be less than 10% grade.
Also discussed the sinkholes on Easy and ditching along Soccer.
