Description:

1) Send email to dunigan@cs.utk.edu telling me a bit about 
   your computing background
   (do you have a PC, what OS's do you run, type of Internet connection
    you use, favorite programming language...),
   interests and hobbies, and anything special you'd like to see
   covered in the course. (Please don't disclose any information
   that might be used against you in a court of law!)
   In the email, also answer the following questions. :-)
    (if you don't have a PC, pretend that you do...)

    has your PC ever been infected by a virus?
    do you run antivirus software on your PC?
    do you backup the files on your PC?
    do you checksum the files on your PC?
    do you encrypt the files on your PC?
    do you encrypt/sign your email?
    how do you decide when to open an attachment in an email?
    do you use a password on your PC's BIOS?
    do you use an encrypted transport when remotely logging into CS machines?
    do you use firewall software on your PC?

2) Also in the email, summarize the types of information at
      http://sectools.org/

   Also visit symantec.com and include in your email a summary of
   the "latest threat" as described on the symantec.com pages.
   
3) from the "resources" page on the cns06 class page, you will find
   a link to information related to the course text book.  visit this
   site and pick up the errata file for the text book.  You may wish
   to use the errata information to correct typos in the text.
